Roundhouse Villa

Many years ago when my brother Greg and I were young, I remember our family going to the Lodge of the Four Seasons and Treetop Village on Horseshoe Bend at the Lake of the Ozarks. The memories have faded over the years but a few vivid vignettes remain in my mind. The trees, the beautiful landscaping, the unique round architecture, and the lake all made lasting impacts. My brother and I relished the indoor/outdoor swimming pool and the vacation vibes while I vaguely recall our folks attending a timeshare pitch, most likely regarding the newly constructed treehouse villas not far from the lodge. Despite the lovely surroundings and all the amenities, our folks passed on the timeshare and chose to spend time at a different lake entirely, but that’s another tale for another time.

Those early impressions were so strong for me that when it came time to move awhile back, I was immediately drawn to a mid-century round house, perched high on a wooded ravine in Columbia…. Coincidence?

Fast forward to 2026 and Treetop Village is as beautiful as I remember and it is slowly transitioning from timeshares to private ownership. All of the amenities are still here with beautiful pools, golf courses, pickleball and tennis courts, and of course the lake – all set in a quiet and heavily wooded enclave. Greg and I have been fortunate to acquire one of these amazingly cool time capsules and, with the help of our Design Director (Lorelei), Technical Supervisor/Installer (Ryland), and Moral Support Department (Ashley), we have strived to update it with the latest comfort and technology while maintaining its unique character. With beautiful new paint and furniture, luxurious new carpet and flooring, ultra premium mattresses and smart TVs, we can’t wait to share this place with you.
